What causes fine lines and wrinkles?

What is Botox?

What can I expect during a Botox treatment?

Dr. Delahoussaye-Shields and Dr. Grieshaber create a custom treatment plan based on your cosmetic goals. During a typical treatment, they apply a numbing cream to ensure your comfort and then inject the Botox solution into the specific muscles of the targeted area. Common trouble spots include your forehead and around your eyes and mouth.

Most procedures take only a few minutes, but the duration depends on the number of treatments and size of the treatment area. You can return to your normal activities immediately after the procedure.

You may experience temporary swelling after the treatment that resolves on its own within a few hours. Expect your eyes and mouth to move normally.

Results are immediately apparent with optimal results appearing after the swelling disappears. In most cases, the results last four to six months.

What is Dysport®?

Dysport is an injectable similar to Botox. Dr. Terezakis and Dr. Grieshaber use this treatment to smooth moderate to severe frown lines without affecting the movement of your face.

With Dysport, one injection in each of five points on the forehead eliminates frown lines. This treatment takes approximately 15 minutes, and your results last up to four months. There's no downtime with Dysport, and you can resume your normal activities after the procedure.

Following the treatment, you see a noticeable improvement. Maximum results are apparent three to four days after treatment. Dr. Delahoussaye-Shields and Dr. Grieshaber can recommend additional treatments to maintain natural-looking, line-free skin.
